Printing Basics 

Printed, our primary decoration process, is known for its inexpensive costs and great ability for high volume production with quick turnarounds. We offer two types of printing: Digital Printing (Full Clr Printing) and Screen Printing (1-8 Clr Printing), both are explained below.

Digital Printing (Full Clr Printing) | InkEasy Full Color Printing Icon

Digital Printing also known as digital garment printing, digital apparel printing, direct to garment printing (DTG), and inkjet to garment printing involves specialized inkjet technology laying water based ink directly onto a garment/product. Often thinner than screen printing, digital printing also has a softer touch. With a full range of color, your custom design(s) easily turns into a masterpiece. In most cases, orders of 11 units or less are ideal for digital printed.

Screen printing also known as silk screening involves plastisol based inks being pressed through a screen onto a garment/product leaving a layer of ink on top. This widely known form of printing is a great for large orders with a few colors in the design. With vibrant colors and durability, your custom design(s) easily turns into something great. In most cases, orders of 12 units or more with 8 colors or less will be screen printed.

Please note, Promotional Products on our website utilize our 1-8 Clr Printing print process for pricing reasons and may not actually indicate the product is being screen printed. The printing process on such products vary depending on the actual product. Please contact us before placing your order if you have any questions regarding the print process of a particular promotional product. In many cases, screen printing or pad printing are our most widely used processes for promotional products.

 

Heat Pressing Basics

Heat Pressing, our unique decoration method, is known for its moderate costs and great ability for making any custom design one of a kind. We offer two types of pressing: Vinyl Heat Pressing and Full Color Heat Pressing, both are explained below.

Vinyl Heat Pressing | InkEasy Heat Pressing Icon

Vinyl Heat Pressing involves designs cut from vinyl being applied by heat directly onto a garment/product. Widely used on athletic uniforms, vinyl heat pressing is a great option for single color designs with changing information such as player names and numbers. With a smooth finish and slight gloss, your custom design(s) easily turn into something sharp and professional. In most cases, pressed orders containing 3 colors or less will be vinyl heat pressed.

Full Color Heat Pressing involves designs being printed on transfer material based on the garment/product type and then applied by heat directly onto the garment/product. Widely used on t-shirts this process can be done in areas printing can’t go. With a slight white border around most final designs and a great sharpness of the overall design, your custom design(s) easily turns into something that’s a great solution for any need. In most cases, pressed orders containing 3 colors or more will be full color heat pressed.

 

Embroidery Basics

Embroidery is our original and most popular process and is known for its premium costs and great ability for making any custom design seemingly yours. We offer both Embroidery and Applique, both explained below.

Please note, on your quote we will determine and utilize the best embroidery process based on your order quantity, location and amount of colors being embroidered. Usually, orders with designs large in size will be appliqued.

Embroidery | InkEasy Applique Icon

Embroidery involves the use of rayon or polyester thread stitched onto the garment/product reproducing a logo, design and/or artwork. Widely used on polo shirts, headwear, bags, and blankets among many other items, embroidery is known for its great durability. With great texture and value, your custom design(s) easily turns into something that’s timeless. In most cases, designs no larger than a chest placement will embroidered.

Applique | InkEasy Applique Icon

Applique involves pieces of fabric, embroidery, or other materials being sewn onto another piece of fabric to create designs, patterns or pictures. Widely used on hoodies and jackets, applique is known for its retail inspired look and feel. With great flexibility to be creative, your custom design(s) easily turns into something that’s fashion forward. In most cases, embroidered orders containing designs large in size or larger than a chest placement will be appliqued.

 

Please note each of our decoration process have their own strengths in relation to color reproduction. Because each process is unique and cannot achieve the same color, some colors may vary between printed, pressed and embroidered options.
